Since childhood, I have always had a crayon in one hand and a pencil in the other. I often would get into trouble drawing on walls, chairs, and books, telling anyone who would listen that all I wanted to do when I was older was colour.
I graduated from Brock University with a Fine Arts degree and got my Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Visual Arts. I have spent the last 16 years working with children from early childhood to high school. Inspired by nature, colour, and the creative process, I encourage all my students to be fearless and embrace happy accidents;
there is no failing, only the fear of not being perfect.
In my practice, I enjoy oil and acrylic painting incorporating mixed media and sculptural elements into the image. In addition to mixed media painting, I also have a love for charcoal drawing and watercolour.
I hope to encourage everyone of all ages that creativity comes within!
