Overview

Throughout this 10 week program, students will have the opportunity to review and learn the fundamental skills of the stage through theory and games. Our young actors will be learning things like the history of theatre, improvisation, and character work.
Rehearsals will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00pm - 7:30pm.
Actors will spend the beginning of their 10 week program being cast in their roles and developing their characters. They will be helping to create the set and some props that will be used for the play as well.
All costumes will be sourced by the Gibson Centre with input from our young costume designers!
This program offers a truly wonderful process for any young actor. Whether your little one is looking to break out of their shell, or they simply cannot stay away from the stage, our Theatre Director Bri Thierman works with each individual child to make sure they learn, grow and leave the stage with a newly emboldened sense of self. The teamwork and camaraderie these young actors experience in putting on a show together is an experience that cannot be underestimated and gives them skills that can be taken into any part of their lives, not just on to their next role!
Pricing
The cost for the Spring Theatre Production is: $750.

Rehearsals Begin:

TECH REHEARSAL:
Saturday April 24th, 2027 - 9:00am - 1:00pm
SHOWS:
Friday April 30th - Two Show Day: Two Matinees performed for School Groups (Approx. 9:30am - 5:00pm at the centre - lunch will be provided for the actors)
Saturday May 1st - 7:00pm Evening Performance
Sunday May 2nd - 2:00pm Matinee Performance
CAST PARTY:
Sunday, May 2nd, 2027 after the final performance at the Gibson Centre!
NO CLASS:
Monday February 15th (Family Day)
Monday March 15th & Wednesday March 17th (March Break)
Monday March 29th (Easter Monday)
