GSOTA Theatre Program: Spring Theatre Production

GSOTA's Spring Theatre Production 2023 - Directed by Bri Thierman
An immersive theatrical experience that will find our young actors performing, for the first time, the classic story of Charlotte's Web. This 10 Week program is for students in Grades 1 - 8.
Overview
This session we have reunited our Junior and Intermediate Companies as they will be working together to recreate the classic tale of Charlotte's Web!
Throughout this 10 week program, students will have the opportunity to review and learn the fundamental skills of the stage through theory and games. Our young actors will be learning things like the history of theatre, improvisation, and character work.
Both Jr. and Intermediate Companies will have rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm - 7:30pm.
Actors will spend the beginning of their 10 week program casting the roles in this written play. They will be helping to create the set and some props that will be used for the play as well.
All costumes will be sourced by the Gibson Centre with input from our young costume designers!
A full production will be mounted at the end of this program. This is a truly immersive theatrical experience and it is always impressive what our actors can do when they hit the stage!

The cost for the Spring Theatre Production is: $700.

Rehearsals Begin:
Tuesday, March 19th, 2024
Friday, May 24th, 2024 @ 7pm
Sunday, May 26th, 2024 @ 2pm
Technical Rehearsal date is:
Friday, May 17th, 2023 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
Cast Party date is:
Sunday, May 26th, 2024 after the performance at the Gibson Centre.
NO CLASS:
Thursday, May 16th for GSOTA Spring Gala
