Improv for Teens

"Mission Improvable" is a brand new class just for Teens age 13-17 at The Gibson School of the Arts. In this 6 week class, students will learn the fundamental concept of "Yes, And…" in improvisation. Focusing on thinking on the spot, and using their imagination, students will flex skills in spontaneity, listening, being present in the moment, taking risks, finding agreement (making and accepting offers), and other basic building blocks of improvisation. Through group exercises and games, students will receive on-the-spot coaching and explore the concept of "no idea is a bad idea", all within a supportive environment that embraces the idea of trusting yourself and failing joyfully. This course is a great way to build up self-confidence, break out of your shell or just have plain old fun on stage.

The cost for one 6 week session is: $120.00
