GSOTA Jr. Chef Program: 204 - 206

A series of sessions that will take your little chef through the 2026/2027 season and give them a chance to grow their love of food and cooking. Follow our numbered cooking sessions to get a vast array of skills in the kitchen! The 200 level sessions are the natural progression from the 100 level sessions and will see students learning more difficult kitchen skills and working on more difficult recipes.

Fall Session
204: The Pasta Lab

Discover the world of pasta! Students will learn how to make classic pasta dishes, tasty sauces, baked favourites, and creative noodle recipes. This class combines hands-on cooking with comforting, crowd-pleasing meals.

Winter Session
205: Bakeology - Baking Basics & Beyond

Whisk, mix and bake like a pro! This class introduces students to essential baking skills through cookies, muffins, cakes, breads and more. Perfect for beginner bakers ready to build confidence and create delicious homemade treats.

Spring Session
206: Sauce Boss - Sauces, Dips & Spreads (A Gala Prep Course)

Dip it, drizzle it, spread it! In this flavour-packed class, students will learn how sauces and dips can transform simple foods into amazing meals and snacks. From sweet dessert dips to savoury spreads and pasta sauces, every lesson is full of mixing tasting and creativity δΈ€ ending with a festive "Year-End Gala" to show off their delicious creations.

This is the place to be for little chefs who are eager to learn all about the kitchen and gain the skills needed to cook and bake for their family at home!

For those who continue with us until the end of the GSOTA school year in mid-May, delicious creations will be served at our GSOTA Year-End Gala, where parents and friends will be able to see and taste our students' wonderful foods in a Gala setting with all our other arts students!

We are offering Fall, Winter and Spring sessions (each 6 weeks in length) for our 200 level classes. You can sign up for all 3 sessions and build on your skill set, or you can sign up for any of the sessions individually.

GSOTA Year-End Gala 2027

On Thursday May 13th at 6:00pm, we invite all our Spring Session students to gather with friends and family to display and present their culinary creations! There will be no admission fee, but a survey will be sent home close to the Gala date to gather an idea of how many people would like to attend. Students will attend their final class and chance to prep for the event from 4:30pm-6:30pm and they will then serve all the attendees of the Gala! More information will be sent to those who are signed up for the Spring Session.
