Christina Scala

Christina is a life long member of the local Barrie and area music community, beginning with area youth orchestras, public school string program and high school orchestra. Christina has been a member of the Huronia Symphony Orchestra for over 40 years as well as volunteering with the HSO trio at local events. She has performed in the Pit Quartet with the Kempenfelt Community Players, South Simcoe Players, the Sudbury Symphony, the Near North Singers (Nipissing University choir), North Bay Symphony, as well as local benefit concerts, retirement homes and in area churches. She enjoys playing with her music team at her church as part of a flute/cello duet.

Currently she is a free-lance cellist and owner of Medley Musician service, an entertainment service for weddings, dinners, memorial services and other functions.

Through the Royal Conservatory of Music, Christina has acquired her Grade 10 Cello and Grade 6 Violin. She teaches both instruments, private and group lessons, workshops and basic music theory.
